It's great to go through a list of music, allegedly the best music, and recognize only 10% of the names. It may be my New Year's resolution to try to listen to all 50 of these on Rhapsody. Or at least, listen to the ones that Rhapsody offers...

This article offers an odd contradiction: Kyoto is a failure because the countries most relevant in issues of the greenhouse emissions don't adhere to Kyoto. It also reminds me of an ambivalence I have with hybrid vehicles: aren't they just redistributing the emissions from the roads to the power-plants?

And isn't this a math-impaired implication: giving as a percentage of income is highest in states where folks have the least to give
so those states are cheap
? If giving 5% of your income is $20,000 so you give only $15,000 or $10,000, are you cheap? They then clarify with [a]ctually, it may have more to do with culture, especially religious habits.
Of course, I'm not above throwing around red and blue when it fits my cause, but I'm not a major news source.

In my on-going transciption of "Question" by The Kleptones, bryan pointed out this source of one of the quotes and pedant corrected my mis-hearing. A Monkees movie with philosophical wackiness: I'm completely intrigued. I'll have to see if one of my gift cards from X-mas can get me this modern marvel. Read the Pif review.
